Policies

This page outlines key membership policies of the International Society for Ecological Economics (ISEE), including renewal, cancellation, refunds, and privacy practices.

Membership Terms

ISEE membership is purchased on an annual basis. Most membership types renew automatically each year using the payment method on file unless auto-renewal is disabled prior to the renewal date.

Members receive reminder emails in advance of the renewal date and may disable auto-renewal at any time by logging into their member profile before the renewal date.

Membership remains active through the end of the current paid term.

Refund Policy

ISEE membership dues are non-refundable once payment has been processed, including automatic renewals.

Cancellation & Renewal Policy

Members may disable automatic renewal at any time by logging into their member profile.

Disabling auto-renewal prevents future billing but does not cancel the current membership term.

Guidance on managing renewal settings, invoices, and login access is available here:

Privacy Policy

ISEE respects and protects the privacy of members and website users.

Personal information is collected only when voluntarily provided through membership applications, event registrations, contact forms, or other website interactions.

Personal information is used solely for purposes related to ISEE activities, including:

• processing memberships and renewals
• providing access to member services and publications
• communicating about events and society activities
• maintaining accurate membership records

ISEE does not sell, trade, or rent personal information to third parties.

Payment transactions may be processed through secure third-party providers, which manage payment information according to their own privacy and security policies.

ISEE takes reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect submitted personal information. Updates to this policy will be posted on this page.
